We are recognised as one of the UK's leading centres for children and young adults with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy, and we have a national reputation for our work in supporting young people's communication and developing independence through powered mobility.
The IT Technician will be responsible for providing support and assistance to all users of the Foundation's IT facilities.
Acting as the first line of contact with the IT Services Department and delivering a customer focussed and responsive support service for the whole Foundation
â€¢Provide support to users through manning the IT Helpdesk, logging calls and providing telephone and at desk support as appropriate.
â€¢Provide an efficient, reliable helpdesk service for ICT users in accordance with agreed helpdesk service levels.
â€¢Ensure that all hardware and equipment are maintained and comply with regulations and policies for information security and environmental safety
"The ability to work with various 3rd party desktop and server software, to support and troubleshoot any issues relating to the Foundation"s core systems including but not limited to Sage Payroll, Harlequin CRM, SIMS, SharePoint etc.
â€¢Ensure that all users adhere to the IT Acceptable Use Policy and other related IT policies and procedures.
â€¢To audit and maintain inventories of hardware and software.
â€¢Document IT systems and update relevant documentation as required.
â€¢Provide at desk and group training for new and existing users on request.
â€¢Minimum CompTIA A+, or similar. Ideally CompTIA N+, Microsoft Certified Professional, City & Guilds ICT Professional Competency (NVQ ICT Level 3 equivalent).
â€¢Experience of working within a busy service environment.
â€¢Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
â€¢Ability to manage and prioritise heavy workload.

Salary: £20,927 to £23,019
