Our client based on the outskirts of Guildford, Surrey and currently in the market for a Field Sales/New Business Executive specialising in Cloud Managed Services and Infrastructure. The successful candidate will be expected to sell products within the company's key verticals; local government, finance and charitable sectors.

£40,000 + £500 car allowance + uncapped commission (realistic OTE £80,000)

The role will be predominantly field based although there will be a requirement to attend the office when not on client site.


* Handle long-term focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units
* Gain understanding from the customer of how a cloud variant will improve the business and remove risk during transition
* Recommend appropriate technological alternatives/resource improvements to the customer's IT management
* Provide on-site, specialised technical insight to customers' IT management teams.
* Work with the marketing team to plan and generate demand programs
* Create pipeline, forecasting, account planning and sales cycle management
* Leading multiple campaigns from qualification through to close
* Establishing necessary resources, customer requirements, solution development and business validation
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with current and new decision makers
* To always display credibility and trust

Experience/requirements (desirable):

* 3 years field sales experience within the IT sector
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets, preferably in end-user sales
* Advanced knowledge of sales processes; from building accounts to closing sales
* Excellent telephonic skills - ability to speak to cold clients
* Experience of pitching formal and informal presentations to all levels of management
* Confident, self-motivated, excellent time management skills
* Experience of working in a competitive environment
* An understanding of the IT market and industry principles and practices

Understanding the following would be advantageous:

* Engineering proficiency at developing cloud-ready applications
* Solution sales
* Contract negotiation skills
* Understanding of procurement processes
* Experience of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 20000, ISO 27001)
