The Role of a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer:
In your role as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer you will have the responsibility to conduct both scheduled PPM on the production line along with dealing with breakdowns and repairs when necessary. You will need to undertake in fault finding and numerous diagnostics to implement problems and issues as and when. Getting involved in the continuous improvement aspect within the business is also available and with the business now operating on a 24/7 daily basis, you will come across both electrical and mechanical faults on a range of production machinery such as. A basic understanding of PLC?s is desired.
The successful candidate will have a background within the food or manufacturing sector. Being either bias but with strong and proven experience in your secondary core skill set is ideal but the necessity to have a relevant qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering is prominent. The enthusiasm and desire to work alone, as well as in a team, is a key part to the team ethic within this thriving environment. Patience, willingness and teamwork are important for the development of each engineer to join this business. Health and Safety is to be shown throughout.
