Our clients, based in Middlesex have asked us to find an Engineering Inspector to join the small but friendly team. You will be working for a company who are a family business, and primarily work within the aerospace engineering sector. Ideally you will be experienced in CMM Inspecting, but, if you have no CMM experience you will be fully trained in this area.|
To ensure that the quality of parts produced by the workshop & or any parts supplied by a Sub Contractor conform to all Customer?s technical documents & Quality Requirements before the parts leave for any sub-contract operations and for on time delivery to The Customer.
To ensure that any Inspection equipment is maintained in good working order and that any items found to be outside of calibration are brought to the Production Manager?s immediate attention for quarantine containment so the item(s) are not used until re-calibrated.
To ensure that on each part, other than 100% inspect parts, that a minimum of 5 dimensions are checked and recorded, with the inspection media used, on the works order job card for each part as per customer requirements e.g. DSQR, and that for all parts requiring an FAIR that all dimensions have been checked and recorded accurately on an FAIR form ready to be completed and sent with parts to the customer.
To ensure that all parts packed for despatch are in good condition & packed to avoid damage during transit. Any specific packing requirements instruction must be given to the persons packing.
To ensure that any parts that are not being sent to the customer are clearly identified and fully traceable with corresponding paperwork in order that they are ready to be put to stock or waiting further operations/final delivery.
To ensure that there are sufficient stocks available of packing boxes, wrapping materials & labelling at all times.
You must be a proven engineering inspector with a demonstrable record of achievement and knowledge. You must also be fully IT literate as most reporting for jobs is now done online and all documentation must be kept up to date.
The role is temp to perm, with you initially starting on our payroll and then transferring to our clients after a three-month period.
