Title: Mobile Engineer
Package: £25,000 + Van and Extras
Location: Tamworth
Purpose: To service, refurbish, repair and maintain the Power fleet

Key Accountabilities
Ensuring that all work undertaken is safe and in line with companies policies including health and safety
To be available when on the ?on call? rota to attend breakdowns and emergency repairs
To assist the rest of the team to ensure that the hire fleet is ready for hire
Assisting with the training of new service engineers
Ensuring that when out on customer repairs that Site Rules are adhered to
Ensuring that they adhere to legal driving requirements i.e. speed limits, loading limits, tachograph, etc

Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair requirements of the company?s product range
Providing technical assistance/advice to customers/the team when required
Assisting Drivers, when required, with safe loading, securing and unloading
Identifying any safety risks in the depot to the Service Manager/Foreman
Dealing with enquiries in a professional and friendly manner and informing depots/regional teams of any problems when they arise
Ensure full use of PDA systems in a timely manner at all times
Ensuring that vans and hire fleet are in accordance with company standards
Completing all administration documents and inputs to IT systems in a timely and accurate manner
Contributing to regular reviews led by the Service Manager/Foreman to improve the service levels, performance and productivity
Assisting with keeping storage areas safe, tidy and in good order
Wearing full uniform and PPE at all times
Maintaining knowledge of the group?s equipment for hire/sale and activities
Conducting additional ad hoc duties as may be required
Following all company procedures and policies in company handbook
Ensuring all relevant training has been attended
Supporting and communicating effectively with the depot team

Key Measures of Performance
Volume & standard of maintenance & repairs
The performance of the depot against all agreed financial targets and budgets
Customer satisfaction performance of the region in relation to equipment quality and safety
Compliance with Health and Safety audits and procedures and the absence of any serious Health and Safety incidents in the depot
Own attendance record

Person Specification
Experience of maintenance & repair of Power Equipment (Pumps, Generators, Compressors)
A good knowledge of diesel engines
Knowledge of AC/DC electrics
Organisational and communication skills
High level of integrity
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Ability to prioritise workload
Capable of taking ownership and responsibility
Team working

Knowledge of Hire equipment/ products
Technical/engineering background helpful
Full driving licence
