First People Solutions are looking to recruit a Codebook Technician to work on a contract basis within a London Architectural practice.


* Fast and accurate Revit, Codebook and ADB skills essential. ArchiCAD experience desirable
* In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and other statutory requirements including 'best practice'. Health Building Notes (HBN) and Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) knowledge essential
* Good written and verbal communications skills
* A self motivated, enthusiastic, committed attitude to work and a flexible, adaptable and responsive approach to new challenges, technologies and industry developments
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Strong technical knowledge and detailing ability and good design awareness
* The ability to produce accurate working drawings and packages
* Sound construction knowledge and design management skills
* Experience in developing designs/sketches into buildable solutions
* A proven track record in delivering projects to a high technical standard
* Experience in running small projects, working on highly serviced buildings and all RIBA stages of project delivery, notably on-site experience during construction desirable


* Will report direct to line manager and be responsible for Codebook and ADB loading of Revit BIM model, and co-ordination with ArchiCAD model
* Design development and production of package information
* Agree realistic targets with line manager for delivery of information
* Monitoring progress to ensure targets are achieved and if problems are developing, ensure that appropriate action, including discussion with line manager, is taken immediately to find ways of resolving them before they affect the overall objectives
* Assist in the control of all design team input at construction stage on a day to day basis
* Co-ordinating package information
* Producing and checking the technical package against requirements including BMJ standards and QA procedures
* Ensuring programme targets set by line manager are achieved
* Collation of information from suppliers for production of NBS specification
* Updating of project information as requested
* Will act as team member on projects
* Along with all office staff, assist with general office and project tasks including issuing of information, copying, downloading of images, assigning drawing numbers, producing issue sheets etc
