Electronic Systems Installer

About the role
  • Install, program, configure, commission and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression
  • Systems
  • Execute projects on time and within allocated installation hours
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Read and interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Complete project documentation in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Company safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation

Who we’re looking for

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, digital cable analyzer,
  • battery analyzer, and decibel meter
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm and/or fire suppression systems
  • Ability to obtain licenses required by national, state and local codes
  • Excellent reading, writing and comprehensive skills and proficient with computer hardware and software
  • Ability to work overtime, alternate shifts, weekends, and take "on-call" to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to forty pounds
  • Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working above ceilings, etc.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Must pass a pre-employment background screening and yearly drug test
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Fire Alarm and/or Fire Suppression Systems
  • NICET Level I in Fire Alarm
  • Experience with computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Gateways, Routers, Switches
