Job Description:

Location: Markham, CA-ONDuration: 1,5 + YearsGeneral Description:• Our client offers products and services that increase the availability of electrical power networks and critical equipment for Utility, Industrial and large Commercial customers.• Its solutions both secure and improve the reliability of electrical infrastructures, and optimize critical asset life and NA Required:• Reporting to the Materials Team Leader this individual will work closely with the Product Managers, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing and Sourcing to ensure that all required material are delivered based on manufacturing requirements.• Strong buying experience and materials management knowledge will allow the selected incumbent to be successful.• 3+ years of material buying in a manufacturing setting.• Previous experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.• Strong Supply Chain and Material management skills.• Knowledge of ABC analysis, JIT, KANBAN, MRP and Lean manufacturing.• Proven ability to build strong working internal and external relationships.• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.• Proactive approach to tasks - displays initiative.• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive and open approach to conflict resolution.• Flexible and adaptable: open to change and modification of tasks.• Self-motivated, can work well individually and as part of a team.• Strong organizational skills.• Working knowledge of Electronics Manufacturing and Assembly.• Strong computer NA & Responsibilities:• Material procurement based on project / production requirements and MRP analysis.• Ensure continuous material flow within the work cell avoiding stock-outs.• Participate in daily production reviews.• Process engineering change requests and communicate when the change will take place along with the cost and material impact including excess and obsolete items.• Communicate shortages on current and future production schedules.• Communicate requirements to suppliers.• Communicate schedule to internal customers.• Monitor suppliers and customer orders to ensure timely execution.• Participate in supplier weekly reviews.• Collect supplier on time delivery (OTD) data, analyze root cause for fluctuations.• Issue purchase orders for material buys, and follow up on execution to meet customer requirements, and inventory targets.• Analyze feedback from suppliers.• Expedite and push out open orders, escalate, when required, to bring closure to the more severe shortages or part issues.• Update delivery status in a timely manner.• Ensure purchase order closure.• Resolve invoice match-hold issues.• Resolve receiving discrepancies with the suppliers in a timely manner.• Interface with Quality team - resolve and disposition Non-Conforming Material in a timely manner.• Communicate vendor additions and modifications required in Oracle.• Confirm and maintain lead times and pricing on all items purchased each month.• Provide daily visibility of incoming material to production team (logistics/supplier updates) - tracking inbound NA:• University degree/diploma in related field
