About the role
Interserve Healthcare is a leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs.

Interserve Healthcare are looking for carers, ideally with complex children's clinical care skills to join our team caring for children with complex care needs, living with their families. You will be providing vital respite to the family, enabling the child to continue to be cared for at home.

You will typically be providing clinical care for these clients, as well as giving them reassurance when they are awake. Children have various care needs that could include seizure management, respiratory monitoring, oxygen saturation monitoring and oxygen therapy. Feed and medication may be administered via a PEG.

You will have training and be signed off as competent by one of our Nurses for the following dependant on the child's needs:

• Seizure Management
• Administration of Medication
• Administration of Medication via Nebuliser
• Administration of Oxygen
• Paediatric Gastrostomy Feeding
• Paediatric Oral Suction
• Oxygen Saturation Monitoring
• Ventilator Training

You will typically be required to work waking nights 22.00 - 07.00. You will may need your own transport depending on the location of the client.

Following skills & experience required:
• 6 months previous care experience
• Experience of working with clients with complex care needs
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening
• Have a caring and compassionate attitude
• Can commit to regular hours
