This position is responsible for generalist functions as well as safety and labor relations management for the entire London Distribution Center location of up to 300 employees. Along with other management team members, this position is responsible for reinforcing Orgill's organizational and safety culture. Key areas of responsibility include labor relations, resource planning, performance management, safety, retention, and legal compliance. Coordinates exempt and non-exempt recruiting, employment related legal compliance, payroll, workers' compensation, employee benefits, training, and related policies and procedures. Ontario experience is NA have extensive knowledge of industrial safety and NA have experience leading HR in a unionized industrial work environment with demonstrated success developing rapport at all levels of the NA knowledge and experience with federal and provincial statutes concerning human resources and labour NA ability in administering collective NA sense of urgency and ability to be "on call" at all NA interpersonal skills with ability to handle sensitive and confidential NA with good presentation and written communication NA track record managing multiple activities, leading committees, effectively planning and organizing, developing others, effectively working under pressure with challenging NA PC software skills including Outlook, Microsoft Office, HRIS and payroll systems.
