Are you an experienced Estimator? Do you want to work with a high profile national client on multi-million pound projects? This brand new opportunity offers a competitive salary, car allowance and 30 days holiday, based in Wimborne.
Responsibilities of the Estimator:
â€¢ Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments.
â€¢ Abstract information into subcontract and material packages.
â€¢ Select subcontract and material companies in conjunction with wider team.
â€¢ Organise copy of tender documents and amendments for appropriate parties.
â€¢ Arrange pricing document production ? internal or external as required.
â€¢ Enter pricing document onto database as required.
â€¢ Rate up pricing document.
â€¢ Internal meetings to review design alternatives and value management .
â€¢ Enter sub-contractor/supplier quotations and check for completeness compliance/qualification.
â€¢ Price up Prelims with CM/team input.
â€¢ Compile provisional Summary Pricing schedule.
â€¢ Attend Adjudication Meeting and present a net tender for agreement/approval.
â€¢ Complete Form of Tender and tender letter with any qualifications.
â€¢ Complete Contract Sum Analysis/Schedule if necessary.
â€¢ Post tender negotiations with Client/log all activity.
â€¢ Ensure final Pricing documents are fully distributed.
â€¢ Prepare information packages for handover to construction team, if successful.
â€¢ Attend handover meeting and brief team on tender bid.
Personal attributes of the Estimator:
â€¢ Experience in an Estimating role
â€¢ Knowledge of the construction industry.
â€¢ Understanding of costing and pricing.
â€¢ Knowledge of sub contractors and suppliers.
â€¢ Knowledge of tender process and document management.
