Due to a period of sustained expansion we are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Contracts Manager, with a minimum of 10 years experience in the construction industry, who will be based in Leicestershire working for a leading main contractor on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the industry, have experience of main contractors and of contract managing multiple projects valued up to £8 million on a D&B and/or traditional basis. Experience of Frameworks would also be a benefit.

Our client is a leading Main Contractor with projects ranging to £8 million, across a number of sectors with more recent works including Education, Health, Public Sector and Commercial build schemes.

The role will include the management of the preconstruction process of multiple construction / refurbishment projects. It will then include the delivery of these projects on site and the management of any post PC works.

The successful individual will have experience of the following:

* Leading and supporting multiple teams of site staff to deliver the projects on time and within budget.
* Overall responsibility for the day to day management of all project activities.
* Prepare, manage and update the programme at regular intervals.
* Reporting to the Operations Manager and Client where necessary.
* Liaise as necessary with other organisations and relevant authorities.
* Manage change within the project scope whilst ensuring project delivery to client satisfaction.
* Manage the production of technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules that comply with the scope of services.

Ideally you will have progressed through your career from a site manager and have been employed as a Contracts Manager for at least five years. You must have proven experience of managing multiple construction / refurbishment / fast track projects up to £8 million in value.

Experience of working for main contractors is essential and working on frameworks is desirable.

It is desirable that they hold CSCS Black card and preferably hold a HNC or equivalent professional construction management qualification. Membership of a recognised professional body is desirable.

Excellent communication skills will be essential as you will be liaising with Clients, Consultants, sub-contractors and senior management.
