NHBC has a unique opportunity available for a Regional Health & Safety Manager to join the team. The role is a home based position covering Southern England (South, South East, South West), Home Counties or London area. We are offering a salary of £41,253 to £51,626 per annum plus benefits.

NHBC is continuing its ambitious growth programme. Due to continued expansion and internal promotions, an opportunity has arisen for a Regional Health & Safety Manager to join the Health & Safety team covering the South of England and London region.

What are the responsibilities of the Regional Health & Safety Manager?

Reporting to the Health & Safety Services Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of high quality and effective Health & Safety advice to a nationally consistent standard. Within your area region, your duties will include allocation of workload to Health & Safety Advisors and Consultants and agreeing staff training needs and training plans for your team. You will also be responsible for overseeing operational delivery of the Health & Safety services and account management of key customers within your region.

Our ideal Regional Health & Safety Manager will have the following skills & experience:

In order to be successful in this role, you will have experience in the delivery of Health & Safety Services within the construction/building industry. You must have Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety (NEBOSH Construction Certificate) or British Safety Council, preferably supported by a management qualification. Experience of the wider construction industry and construction methods, ideally supported by a formal construction or design qualification is preferred. You must also demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and legal / enforcement frameworks.

It is essential that you are organised and methodical with an ability to react promptly to changing business demands, and you must also have a high degree of inter-personal skills. You will be a team player with the ability to act on your own initiative but must recognise however, when escalation is required.
