We are looking for qualified electricians, ideally with some experience of wiring new homes, to work on new housing developments in and around your local area.
- JIB/ECS Gold card
- 17th Edition
- Clean Driving licence
Based at our local branch, and supported by an area manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team - usually yourself and two others.
This is very much a hands-on role and you will be wiring new homes with your team, whilst also planning ahead and organising your workload by keeping in touch with site managers.
In this long-term permanent position you will be provided with a company van, uniform, PPE and power tools.
Materials will be bagged up ready for you each day and technical support will be provided by an office-based commercial team.
You`ll be provided with an iPad containing all the information needed such as house type drawings, summary specifications and technical manuals.
Permanent positions `on the books`
- Weekly pay direct into your bank account
- All holidays Paid
- Twice-yearly loyalty bonus
- Your own sites to manage
- VW Transporter van supplied
- All power tools supplied
- iPhone and iPad supplied
- Company uniform and PPE supplied
- Ongoing contracts with all the UK`s biggest house-builders
- The chance to progress to supervisory and management positions
We also operate a grading scheme to recognise your efforts and enable you to increase your earnings and benefits as you progress through the company.
For example you could earn a twice-yearly loyalty bonus of up to 8% of your earnings and increase your holiday allowance from 21 days up to a generous 25 days. As an extra incentive, all holidays will be paid at your average earnings.
You will normally work Monday - Friday, arriving on site by 8.00am and finishing by 5.00pm.
However, your hours will vary according to workloads and you will be expected to do what`s necessary to keep up with site build programmes, particularly during the busier times of year when some late finishes and weekend working will be inevitable.
This is a challenging and demanding role, but if you are well organised, enthusiastic and feel that the time has come to step up and start to take more responsibility - with rewards to match - then this is a great opportunity.
Longer-term, we believe in building lasting relationships with our employees and the most ambitious, committed and dedicated of our electricians can expect to be offered the opportunity to progress to supervisory and even managerial positions
