A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Test Engineer to join our team in Quantico, VA. Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance
Position Functions or Responsibilities: Perform verification and validation testing activities of the CODIS software (software releases, service packs, hot fixes and other software) for a Federal Agency. Conduct government acceptance testing (GAT). Maintain GAT test procedures by creating new scenarios based on recent enhancements delivered by the maintenance contractor. Perform manual test cases in virtualized environments at the Agency test lab.
Lead an effort to create automated test cases using the Windows application presentation layer. Existing manual test cases need to be converted to automated tests running in a Windows environment. Automated tests need to detect when exceptions occur or when unexpected results are returned by the application.
Enter defects into the bug tracking system. Participate in CCBs and recommend dispositions for defects and change requests. Maintain the test environment and test automation development environment. Participate in user acceptance testing and help develop a user acceptance test plan. Conduct Critical Enhancement testing generally smaller in scale, testing requirements for Critical Enhancements are the same as standard deployments. Tests each release for acceptance testing to ensure quality was delivered in the software. Validates that there is a conformance between requirements and delivery. Monitor contractor testing process, compliance with test procedures and proper defect reporting. Evaluate contractor testing process improvements via automating test cases.
