A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to join our team in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Position Functions or Responsibilities: Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and guidance on industry trends and processes
  • Provide expertise and support a platform migration project
  • Responsible for working with leaders, users, and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, document, and manage requirements and business analysis artifacts throughout the life of a solution.
  • Candidate should have a solid work history as a business analyst along with exceptional communications skills (verbal and written), meeting facilitation expertise, highly accomplished personal organizational abilities and a "big picture" view of how technology can be used to drive business solutions.
  • Candidate must be capable of guiding the client through the requirements development process while working with fellow team members to coordinate and communicate the business and solution requirements.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive P&C Insurance experience
  • Experience with platform migration projects is a nice to have.
  • Experience in specialty Insurance Products like Flood, Earthquake etc. - nice to have.
  • Eliciting requirements using techniques such as: facilitated workshops, interviews, document analysis, prototyping, and interface analysis
  • Understanding and analyzing the impact of change across the organization
  • Specifying and analyzing business goals/requirements, functional requirements, system interface requirements, reporting requirements, data requirements, non-functional requirements and business rules
  • Discovering and documenting scope using visual modeling techniques
  • Uncovering process improvements and seeing those improvements through implementation, adoption and realization of business value
  • Analyzing requirements from several functional areas to determine potential conflicts/other requirements that may exist in other areas
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and various approaches (e.g., waterfall, agile)
  • Proven ability to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts among diverse stakeholder groups
  • Working knowledge of the IIBA's Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) preferred

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum years experience:
  • 5 years Business Analysis - Domain Knowledge - Property & Casualty Insurance
  • 3 years Insurance Reporting experience

This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA. Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered.
