Johnson Controls is currently hiring a Mechanical Assembler at the site in The Woodlands, Tx. The technician is responsible for testing, calibrating, basic troubleshooting and some assembly on Detcon assemblies.

Job Responsibility
Essential Functions:
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
  • Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Detcon Quality System.
  • Completes all administrative functions.
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Manager or Quality Manager.
  • Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed.
  • Maintains clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
    Additional Duties:
  • Soldering
  • Able to follow wiring drawings to build assemblies and/or cable harness
  • Following all ESD requirements
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent

Technical Skills
Strong hand and eye coordination required.

Careful attention to detail and ability to follow procedures so as to produce high quality products with supporting QC documentation.

Able use of computers needed for various testing activities.
