VP Business Development (Canada)Marine Transportation and Project ServicesOur client provides marine transportation and related project services throughout the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, Atlantic Seaboard and Canadian Arctic. The company's nimble, competent and entrepreneurial foundation allows it to reinforce customer success by delivering turnkey solutions to complex project challenges. The VP Business Development will be a key member of the executive team. The role will report directly to the company's President and will lead the organization's Business Development and Marketing NA the right candidate you will have successfully:Developed long range business development objectives consistent with the overall business strategy of the company you NA a significant proposal process including final review and approval of all its NA, strategized and won new, long-term business opportunities in support of core company capabilities and sales and profitability NA the sales process from client identification through to structuring contracts and NA and pursued new markets and strategic partnerships that align with growth NA and delivered presentations to executive level decision makers of multi-national organizations, clearly communicating a core value NA marketing activities to ensure consistency and precision in support of business development NA, coached and established goals and metrics for the business development team along with monitoring and assessing performance on an ongoing NA with internal stakeholders to ensure the feasibility of executing NA in industry associations and trade organizations to ensure visibility and preservation of relationships with key industry decision-makers. And you will have also enjoyed:Obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering and then added an MBA and/or P. Eng.15+ years of successful related business development experience in the marine or bulk/project services industry.10+ years in a senior business development role structuring complex business NA in highly effective presentations and interfacing positively at all levels internally and within client organizations through advanced interpersonal, oral and written communications NA organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and NA a track record of securing long-term contracts and identifying new business NA computer skills and experience with CRM systems, developing metrics and dashboards, and managing remote NA communicating in both of Canada's official languages (preferred).Travelling to multi-destinations as necessary to ensure prospect and project success.
