  1. Continuous Improvement (CI)
  • Analyzing business processes and seeking opportunities for improvements / standardizations if finance processes within GFSS and potential expansion of scope
  • Assessment, management and prioritization of the list of potential improvement initiatives for the GFSS organization
  • Liaise with Global Process Owners, Finance teams, Finance BPE Team, IT and other teams, including Hitachi Limited, in leading the Global projects
  • Liaising with the Process Managers to ensure successful implementation of process changes / improvements
  • Recommend ways to improve efficiency, reduce cost or increase customer satisfaction.
  • Assess the importance, timing and costs related to each critical initiative
  • Cooperate with Operations Manager on the involvement of the GFSS team in various CI projects
  • Project manage the approved projects
  • Project managing Continuous Improvement initiatives and process improvement projects in GFSS
  • Taking part in the global Hitachi projects as Finance team Subject Matter Experts and representatives
  • Support and maintain regular, structured communication processes with key stakeholders to update them on the progress of CI projects, risks and issues
  • Promote the Continuous Improvement culture within the GFSS team
  • Contribute to the content of the CI Newsletter.

2. Performance Management
  • Support the GFSS Management Team in the implementation of the Service Level Agreements for the GFSS with key stakeholders
  • Periodically review the SLAs, KPIs and metrics in order to identify further improvement opportunities
  • Monitor KPI performance and take remedial action where required to ensure performance standards are met
  • Updates and communicates the performance of the Finance organization in the regional Finance Newsletter
3. Perform Other Duties as Required
  • Manage documentation control for updates to process documentation for all processes managed by APAC GFSS team
  • Actively support company change programs and acts as a role model for solution selling
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Additional certification in project management is an advantage
  • Previous experience of change management and Shared Services
  • Experience of working with US GAAP / IFRS and SOX compliance
  • Experience of working directly with stakeholders and teams across multiple countries and cultures
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Possesses demonstrated professionalism, drive and resilience, problem solving, delivering quality service
  • Open to feedback and learning
