You will be working in a housing association who primarily focuses on service users suffering from mental health. You will be joining a leading housing provider who puts their service users at the fore-front of their organisation. Your new role
As a supported housing manager you will working in the organisation's crisis team co-ordinating a delivering a cohesive service to service users. You will take direct responsibility for the leadership, operational and performance management of the crisis house and provide inspirational and motivational leadership. As a supported housing manager you will maximise team engagement and commit to goals both for your staff and the service users within the house. As a manager you will contribute to the overall management, promotion and development of relevant policies and procedures, providing a quality assurance system that support the delivery of services. You will champion recovery orientated informed practise, helping the service user get the most of out of the service and move onto independent living. This is a rewarding role allowing you to champion service user empowerment and involvement by ensuring the service values and respects service users and working in a strength-based and solution-focused way with clients. You will provide leadership and management in the house, taking responsibility for the management and delivery of services.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, the organisation is looking for a strong, confident manager with a proven track record of managing staff. It is essential that you are experienced in managing a supported service with strong knowledge in working within mental health and complex needs. As a manager you will have a minimum of 2 years management experience within a similar sector as well as 3 years proven working experience with mental health. To be successful in this role you will need proven experience of holding and promoting aspirations of service users as well as having working knowledge of support outcome measurement tools. To get the most out of this role you will need to have passion about working with vulnerable people, wanting to make a difference to service users' lives and promote independence.
