Our client, design and manufacture mechanical and electrical products for prestigious clients. They require a Technical Support Engineer to work with this well established brand. Providing Technical advice to key clients, this role is an excellent opportunity for service engineers or an experienced maintenance engineer who is looking for a new and interesting role - office based

Role Description

* Provide technical support and guidance to our global distributor network
* Fault find technical issues, remotely (telephone, email, skype, TeamViewer) guiding technicians through, at times complex diagnostics to a fast resolution
* To record all communications & after sales needs in MAPICS including Enquiries, Quotations, Warranty, Shipping, Returns, Repairs & Invoicing
* Regional Incident account management of key territories
* Regularly review open enquiries with customers/distributors & internal teams to ensure they are actively updated and progressed to meet response & closure targets
* Work with Engineering and Operations teams to progress Continuous Improvement and value add solutions for customers
* To assist with the testing, introduction & release of new products when required

Skills and Qualifications

* City & Guilds, ONC or HNC in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, as well as experience in Mechanical Engineering.
* Pneumatic and/or Hydraulic Engineering and experience of capital equipment would also be an advantage
* A strong background in field service, site based maintenance &/or technical Help Desk
* Reading, understanding & interpretation of drawings including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical circuit diagrams
* Experience of working with networks & software driven equipment
* The ability to fault find and visualize technical problems
* Experience in a customer facing engineering role
* The ability to positively interact with customers at all levels
* The ability to multitask and prioritize many open enquiries and customer demands
