INTERIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER- RAIL|

My client is one of the most successful Original Equipment Manufacturers worldwide who have been expanding rapidly within the railway sector with a turnover of around £80 billion across the business. They have secured a number of high profile orders with full lifecycle maintenance contracts to manufacture and maintain high value rolling stock and as a result, will look to increase their workforce.
About the Job
As an Interior systems engineer your role will essentially be supporting all existing, new and future projects. You will be responsible for supporting the approval process (certification and testing) for all new systems, determining the design requirements for carbody, doors, HVAC and other human interface facilities such as cab, toilet, catering, seats, lighting and interior panelling on the trains.
You will have excellent knowledge of systems integration, bid support and communication skills as customer facing design reviews will be expected. As a bonus some international travel will be required as part of the role.
This role would suit someone from an engineering background in either Rolling Stock or Aerospace who has had experience with designing interior systems. Knowledge of the UK/EU Railway Operations and experience of and commitment to the effective implementation of equal opportunities and CSR policies would be highly desirable.
