Our client is seeking an excellent problem solver, rigorous in the pursuit of root causes who creatively applies his/her extensive manufacturing engineering skill set to implement countermeasures effectively. This candidate possesses comprehensive working knowledge of fitting and assembly processes as well as hands on knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrics and electronics.|
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation and improvement of all standard work in his/her area of responsibility.
Designing and implementing the right tooling, fixtures, gauges and equipment to meet Takt Time.
Support the fitting teams as and when required on production tasks.
Leading projects that achieve the intended impacts on productivity, inventory, safety and quality improvements.
Resolving fitting issues or operating problems effectively and in a timely manner.
Achieve the on time delivery requirements as stipulated by the Company.
Review fitting methods to support single piece flow.
Effectively eliminate causes of problems so they never happen again.
Be an advocate of the customer, shareholder and the employee
Support value stream team in achieving policy deployment impact targets
Implementing improvements to our processes with speed and integrity
Develop manufacturing processes from supplier to customer
Remove waste in our processes through the rigorous application of lean manufacturing tools
Develop CAPEX documentation to support Policy Deployment targets.
Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:
Worked in a similar position previously or is a skilled fitter looking to progress in to a new/broader role
Hands on knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and electronics
Hands on knowledge of lathes, horizontal mills and vertical mills
Keen powers of observation
Ability to develop the right processes, work holdings, and tools to manufacture our products from blueprint.
Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Expert in use of commonly used measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc)
Capable of conducting controlled thorough experiments
5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering minimum.
Experience in leading manufacturing process implementation (Line start up) preferred.
Supervision experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
