First military Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Customer Service Manager on behalf of our client based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading construction companies who are looking to recruit an Assistant Customer Service Manager to assist their current Customer Service Manager.

Main objectives:
To support the communications team in the delivery of effective stakeholder engagement ensuring excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders and neighbouring communities.
To assist in keeping customers fully informed by providing up-to-date scheme information and responding to enquiries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Log, track and answer all types of customer enquiries including, not limited to; Special Correspondence (MP requests, Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information requests), General Enquiries, Schemes Communications.
- Identify trends and report on a monthly basis.
- Attend customer monthly meetings.
- Ensure relevant information has been disseminated to encourage enquiries to be answered at source.
- Identify problem areas and work on solutions to resolve enquires and prevent them from arising again.
- Support the Customer Service Manager in the drive to encourage staff to become more customer-focused.
- Work with the Customer Service Manager to review processes and update them as and when required.
- Maintain customer enquiry tracker.
- Identify Corporate Social Responsibility opportunities working with teams to create news stories and collate images.
- Promote brand awareness.
- Monitor the Communications Inbox and tracking of correspondence to ensure timely responses.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested from time to time.
- Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience as either an Assistant or Customer Service Manager.
- Experience dealing with local authorities.
- Experience of dealing with escalations, complaints and resolutions.
- Experience of managing a customer service team.
- Knowledge of the construction industry advantageous.

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £28,000 + Car/Car allowance
