Due to significate success, particularly in Water Sector Frameworks, our client has secured work for the next 5-10 years that will involve a significant volume of civil engineering works.
Are you a Civil Engineering Manager with the ability to develop and lead a new business stream within a direct labour based organisation? You will be required to develop and shape the civil engineering department, and build a new team from a standing start, hopefully through drawing on contacts and relationships already established in the sector. Driving productivity and developing a culture that people want to work in, developing and coaching the team. Taking full responsibility for the time, cost and quality of all projects - really owning the customers, the projects and the sites. Being accountable for the P&L for the department. Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety on all projects.
You will plan and maintain an overall work schedule to ensure the most efficient deployment of labour, plant and materials. Develop an effective working relationship with all other members of the Management team. You should have experience of managing both below and above ground civil engineering projects from £50K to £500K in value, and have a strong understanding of the commercial aspects of project delivery and how to deliver to agreed budgets. You are likely to have a relevant qualification in civil engineering or equivalent proven exposure, having a track record in delivering contracts on time and within budget in a contracting environment. You should also understand and be focused on customer service.
The minimum salary payable for this role is £40K. However, the client may pay up to £50K for a candidate who can meet all key requirements and abilities.
