We have a brand new position for an experienced IT Technical Support Engineer (1st /2nd Line Support Engineer) who is looking for an exciting and rewarding career working for a leading financial software development company. You will join the Technical Support team providing 1st and 2nd Line technical support to both internal and external customers. This is a standout role where you will be involved in every aspect of customer support along with responsibility for running the internal IT and development systems.

You will have previous experience in an IT support role with strong knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Servers, Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange Online, Google Drive, Google Docs, Apple OS X and Ubuntu Linux. You will also need experience of Backup technologies and prior experience of supporting VoIP systems.
The core responsibilities of this role will be to provide technical support to end users plus you will also be responsible for the maintenance of internal systems.

Responsibilities for Technical Support Engineer

Along with strong communication skills and experience dealing with Senior members of staff, the ideal candidate would have experience with the following technologies:

* A strong working knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10
* Active Directory and Windows Servers
* Office 365 and Exchange Online
* Google Drive and Docs
* Apple OS X and Ubuntu Linux
* Backup technologies
* VoIP phone systems

Candidates should have at least 4 years' experience in a 1st/2nd Line Support Technician / Support Engineer role and ideally some experience in 3rd Line. Other skills which we would find beneficial include:

* VMware Virtualisation experience
* LAN & WAN experience
* Knowledge of Firewall technologies
