An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data & Systems manager to work within Central Government on a contract basis. The position will be based in London for an initial 6 month contract offering up to a maximum of £350 per day LTD company.|
PMO Service Delivery Deliver excellent PMO Services, especially in the areas of developing the Business Critical Systems, analysing complex data and information, designing management information reports, working on automation of regular system updates and database maintenance
Manage the PMO Systems & Information Management
Team Lead the development of a proper "systems approach" across the PMO Data & Systems Management Team
Lead the development of centrally managed tools and techniques to ensure strong operational resilience as part of the day-to-day implementation of the PMO activities.
Support daily PMO business operations and work across the unit to deliver team priorities
Automate the Business Critical Systems and the links among them to reduce the manual handling of data
Ensure that the Business Critical Systems has the built in audit trial capability i.e. all changes to key programme information and data are fully documented with clear audit trial
Develop tools and mechanisms to perform data cleansing, validity checks, reconciliation and adjustments
Lead the development of the key management information reports based on executive briefs
Develop and provide reporting standards, guidance and advice across the programme to ensure that the management information reports are accurate
Senior Technical role. Strong programming background - VB Scripting / BI SSRS, SSIS / database development + management. Experience leading a team to ensure they meet monthly targets, managing and developing existing the systems in PMO. Experience working in large programs & projects beneficial.
Essential: Data Modelling experience. Strong programming background - VBA / Excel / Macro / Oracle / Tableau / ClikView.
Desirable: Oracle / MS / MS SQL certifications.
Advance Programming skills and extensive hands-on using Visual Basic for Applications, including Macro Development and manipulation Solid practical experience of using Structure Query Language (SQL Server, Oracle)
Advanced Data modelling experience with Power Pivot, Power Query & PowerBI toolset Strong experience of developing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solution using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) , T-SQL or any Industry Standard tool
Experienced in test scenarios, test plans, test strategies.
