UX Designer required for an exciting tech start-up in Manchester. They have developed an innovative product which could really shake up the status quo.|
This is a rare opportunity to be involved from a very early stage for an organisation which in my opinion are really going places.
You will be the first permanent member of the UX team for this organisation and as a result will be able to really shape the way UX / UI is approached moving forward.
The main aim of the role is to really understand the wide range of users they have, including any issues / worries they have about using the product.
A big part of the role initially will involve using the current technology / product to met with users and find out if there are any obvious issues when it comes to usability. Once you have ascertained this, you'll feedback any insights to the senior team and put any improvements into action.
The team at the moment is small and close knit, meaning you'll have to be comfortable liaising with the high calibre technical team as well as senior management on a daily basis. They work in an agile environment with daily stand-ups, so ideally you'll have worked in a similar environment.
Due to the nature of the product, it would be highly advantageous if you've got experience working with mobile applications or a digital product as working solely on website design is a very different proposition.
A tech start-up headed up by some of the brightest minds in the UK who have developed what in my opinion could be one of the biggest tech disruptors in recent memory.
Due to its almost universal applicability, the sky is the limit for this team and with you being one of the first in the door outside the management team, it is a truly unique opportunity.
Skills / Experience & Package:
To be successful in this role you will be comfortable across all aspects of UI / UX, including but not limited to:
** Wireframes / Prototyping
** User Research / User Stories
** Stakeholder Management - liaising with multiple stakeholders, often at the same time
** Agile & Lean UX Methodologies are both in place so any experience of these would be ideal
** Experience working on large scale Mobile Apps or Digital Products opposed to 100% website design would be highly beneficial
The package on offer is fairly flexible with share options, flexible working hours and the chance to set up your own work station from scratch all on offer. Salary wise, they are ideally looking to pay in the ball park of £30-45k, however, are happy to consider more junior candidates if the personality and drive can match the current teams. They will also consider going above the mentioned salary bracket if a high calibre senior candidate with a real passion for UX Design is available.
If this role sounds like the ideal career move for you at the moment, please don't hesitate to apply as we can organise same day telephone interviews for this one.
