Alexander Daniels Sales and Marketing are currently in partnership with a leading motor manufacturing firm, specialising in the production of quality truck bodies, to recruit a National Sales Manager. Primarily located in Manchester, this opportunity is field-based hence will require frequent travel across the UK. With a strong emphasis on technical sales, the successful candidate will have the fundamental responsibility of maximising the firm's market potential and share, as well as increasing the return on sale by surpassing sales targets. On offer is a highly competitive salary of £50, 000- £55, 000 dependent on experience.

Key accountabilities are as follows:

* To excel and promote the firm as the leading supplier of truck bodies and other premium vehicle products
* Identify and pursue business leads, through the use of sound business relationship management skills, supported by the strategic implementation of development plans
* Undertake market research and sales monitoring practices to produce accurate sale forecasts
* Generate and collate marketing intelligence to understand demographic and market needs in order to develop an innovative, effective, and successful annual marketing plan and advertising initiatives
* Maintain, build and establish existing/ new client relationships through regular, informative and engaging contact
* Liaise with the Truck Dealer network to ensure the correct specification and timely delivery of chassis to coincide with bodywork operations
* A high affinity to learn and retain knowledge (strong product knowledge is required)

* Strive to surpass personal KPI's and drive the overall sales strategy
* Have a sound knowledge of the market competition: consider the potential implications or pressures this may cause for the firm's sales strategy
* Collaborate with Customer Services to ensure that a high-quality of customer satisfaction is maintained for the firm's services and products
* Manage the integrity of confidential records and documentation in line with the firm's policies
The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills and attributes:
* A proven track record of high sales achievement, preferably in a dealer environment
* Have a good technical understanding of commercial vehicles and their operations
* Excellent rapport and negotiation skills
* A keen understanding and awareness of commercial and financial developments, affecting the firm's business and market potential
* Possess a forward-thinking and creative mind-set: the ability to assess and re-assess a scenario with alternative perspectives to enable well-informed decisions that will encourage sales success
* Motivated and money-driven
* Demonstrate the ability to be tactful and diplomatic
* Diligence and confidence working within a high-intense sales environment
* An independent professional who uses their own initiative but also an enthusiastic team player who can work collaboratively with their peers
