Market leading supplier of traditional & sustainable construction materials with sites across both the UK & Europe now urgently seek an experienced Production Manager to facilitate the smooth running of this world class engineering site.|
Working across 2 materials manufacturing sites, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of health and safety and welfare within the factory. Duties will include ensuring that both sites are compliant with legal requirements relating to sustainability and corporate responsibility as well as achieving and maintining a LTIFR in line with business expectations.
The ideal applicant will have come from a technical background with an understanding of engineering processes. It is vital to have come from an automated manufacturing environment and have experience of managing budgets/achieving KPI's as well as have a hands on, practical approach to problem solving.
Ensuring planned production volumes are achieved
Working closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure that planned maintenance is carried out to schedule
Ensure that the Site is compliant with the Company and ISO9001 requirements relating to quality assurance and customer service
Direct, train and motivate the site team to achieve specific and agreed targets
Clearly define the responsibilities of the site team and monitor performance
Become actively involved in capital expenditure projects, including financial justifications
Hold responsibility for ensuring that spend is controlled within agreed budgeted levels
Working a day shift (8am - 5pm) our client are offering a very competitive salary (flexible for the right candidate), with benefits including an annual bonus, 5% pension contribution & 25 days holiday + stats.
This role is commutable from Leighton Buzzard, Eggington, Clipstone, Billington, Soulbury and Grove.
