Position: Maintenance Electrician|

Due to expansion within their facility, our client a well established reputable manufacturing organisation requires an experienced Maintenance Electrician who can come on site and 'hit the ground running'.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organisation who are going through considerable growth, therefore this could lead to other exciting opportunities within the organisation.
The maintenance and repair of all site facilities, plant and equipment.
Perform normal maintenance duties when and where necessary and any other duties as apparent or assigned, including supervision of staff / contractors out of normal working hours.
To maintain documentation such as Job sheets, Service reports, Permits to work, risk assessments and any other documentation deemed relevant to Maintenance activities.
Lead, initiate, support and sustain change. This includes but is not limited to process & procedure changes made as a result of continuous improvements activities such as rapid improvement events, lean (CPS) and 5S/Work place organisation (WPO) activities.
Identify, plan, present and implement continuous improvement ideas and projects.
Monitor employees and contractors, to ensure they are working safely, at all times, and are using the appropriate or required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, face shields, respirators, lifting devises, seat belts, etc.
Assist in the coordination of a safety culture & workload, with reference to, departmental resources, with a duty to achieve maintenance cover, for times and areas as required within the plant, raising / issuing of PTW and to evaluate safe working procedures...
Assist with the sequencing of work assignments within the department to ensure a smooth flow and optimum efficiency of a safety & cost driven strategy within the maintenance department.
Reports and maintains machinery breakdown / PPM status ref :PIRANA and a handover book, to ensure prompt attention and reduce waste.
Provide realistic time / cost estimates for completions of specific maintenance tasks.
Work with specific employees on non-conformance issues or quality-related matters.
Assist in the training/ or train employees on processes and procedures
Assist in the introduction of new technology, processes, EHS initiatives and procedures.
Promote and be highly engaged in departmental improvement activities.
Ensure all documentation is checked, and signed off.
To assist in the identification, sourcing, and purchasing of parts and equipment.
The job holder must have the following:
Time served apprenticeship with accompanying academic qualifications in Maintenance or equivalent
Electricians must have the current certificate in "The Requirements For Electrical Installations" (17th edition at present)
The job holder must have good working knowledge of the following:
Fault finding and repair of plant and machinery.
Planned preventive maintenance.
Able to understand electrical/mechanical machine drawings.
Knowledge of service and repair of CNC machines.
Be able to work at height (Cherry Picker)
Able to use a PLC as a trouble shooting aid, an advantage;
Knowledge of Siemens control systems an advantage.
Fork truck driver an advantage.
Welder an advantage.
Basic plumbing an advantage.
This is a full time permanent position working weekly rotating shift pattern of mornings, afternoons and nights and my client are offering an attractive starting salary of £33,000 per annum. Other benefits include pension and 33 days holiday entitlement.
