A globally successful Automotive company are looking NOW for a Continuous Improvements Co-ordinator, to join their team and help plan and co-ordinate continuous improvement activities on site including kaizen events and workshops. You will be a confident, outgoing people person, good at developing relationships and not afraid to challenge. You will need a good knowledge of Continuous Improvements and Lean, with demonstrable experience of putting this into practice. In return, the offer a competitive salary working a Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, plus pension, 25 days holiday plus stats etc.

Job Purpose:-

- Support the CI Manager in driving the lean methodology and culture of continuous improvement throughout the site

Job Duties:-

- Co-ordinate the CI activities on site (Kaizen / Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing etc.)
- Lead and co-ordinate the opportunity walks to identify opportunities to reduce costs through waste elimination
- Work with the Senior Management Team and CI Manager to identify, coordinate and close out CI projects
- Support CI Roadmap activities and, in conjunction with the management team, develop improvement action plans and monitor the progress of cost saving projects
- Provide training and support in the implementation of the CI Strategy and the drive towards a site wide lean culture
- Support Kaizen College courses and events together with coordination of any break-out workshops
- Help to discover both internal and external opportunities for CI application opportunities to eliminate waste
- Support and review the development of new layouts, process flows and product launches
- Network and liaise with CI colleagues across the Company to share and manage the implementation of best practice on the site
- Champion the Employee Suggestion Scheme and act as the point of contact for all Kaizen ideas and CI suggestions
- Monitor and report the sustainability of previous Kaizen activity, agree and support the implementation of remedial action plans with the relevant process owners

The Suitable Candidate:-

Background working in a Continuous Improvement / Lean Co-ordination role, ideally in an engineering manufacturing environment, but any industry background will be considered
Confident and outgoing, with a natural ability to get on with people and develop relationships
Influencing and persuasive style, and not afraid to challenge
Independent and self-motivated, and experience of putting CI activities into practice
"Can Do" attitude with a natural ability to problem solve
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to large diverse teams
Ideally Six Sigma trained, but not essential
