Job Title - Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer|
Location - Holbeach
Salary - £44,000 plus generous overtime and training.
Shifts - Permanent Nights (3 on 3 off)
Our client is one of the world's largest producers of fresh and frozen food products. With over 30 sites across the UK they employ over 15,000 people globally across 10 countries. This multi-billion pound business supplies a huge variety of products to every major supermarket, fast food and restaurant chains across the UK.
The company has enjoyed continued year on year growth since their formation in the 1980's, with the UK their largest market sector by far. Their Holbeach site, which employs over 1200 members of staff, was custom built to allow for this continued expansion and growth.
The site employs 12 full time maintenance staff to ensure that production can continue unhindered, 24/7. An opening has now arisen for an experienced Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established experienced team.
Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be leading a team of four electrically biased engineers, managing the day to day running of the shift by allocating both reactive breakdown tasks as they arise and work from the PPM schedule. The role is still 80% hands on as they would be the last line of defence with any breakdowns.
Alongside this, the Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be performing both PPM and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of equipment used in the production of various food products, including conveyors, refrigeration systems, ovens, blast freezers, shrink wrappers, mixers, slicers, washers and weighers.
All their systems are PLC controlled and as such the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer must be able to fault find on Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi. Most common faults with the PLC systems will result in sensors being knocked out of alignment or electrical issues The Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer should be able to fault find back using a multimeter to isolate the key issue.
The Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for fault finding and rectifying all mechanical faults. Mechanical issues could be with the pneumatics, chain or belt drives, servos or stepper motors.
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
* Must have previous experience as a Lead Engineer or as a team Supervisor.
* Must have previous experience working as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer within the Food sector or FMCG environment.
* Must be able to fault find and repair a wide range of production equipment.
* Salary £44,000.
