Our client are a leading plastic recycling organisation who are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Manager to manage the electrical maintenance team to ensure the plant achieves optimum operational functionality. It is a hands on role to develop and implement maintenance systems and oversee project works.|
The role will be to provide short, medium and long term plant maintenance strategies to best achieve output. Providing technical leadership to a group of engineers and technicians, defining approaches, projects, work schedules and assigning tasks. Identify and rectify process problems quickly and efficiently. Always striving for continuous improvement, prepare engineering development and feasibility proposals and be able to drive change. To identify health and safety hazards and issues establishing guidelines for protection and implementing procedures.
To work closely with the management team to improve the production process. Ensure the process is maintained efficiently and that the assets are optimised for production. To encourage the team, mentor and ensure standards are maintained.
The right person for the role will have people management / team supervisory experience and experience of maintaining electrical and mechanical production equipment, specific experience of extrusion or recycling equipment is advantageous. The person will also have manufacturing process knowledge including maintenance systems and health and safety. The person will have a recognised electrical training qualification and a health and safety qualification will be advantageous. The right candidate will have very good communication skills and a practical, logical problem solving approach to tasks
