What is the purpose of the role?
Support the Principal Contracts Manager of Estates and Facilities in managing the provision of accommodation needs, estate and facilities management services that support the core business across Thames Water. You will ensure Thames Water properties are safe, secure, sustainable support the business in providing great places to work. This role will require will take direct responsibility and accountability for managing stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that there is continuous improvement in standards of safety, quality, time and cost. You will be the trusted advisor for all matters relating to Thames Water Estates and Facilities at each property as well as championing change and new ways of working across your sites. You will be the primary interface between your customer (building occupants) and the service provider. You will ensure that the workplace environment is efficient, effective and meets the needs of the business. You will ensure that the service partner delivers to the highest standards in safety and services, fulfils all contractual obligations and is perceived by the stakeholders as always acting in Thames Waters' best interest. Thames Water Estates and Facilities manage the day to day operational delivery of facility services, estates maintenance, compliance, construction and other property change projects. You will be part of a team delivering a step-change in the perception of facility services and will have the drive to deliver customer satisfaction.

This role will involve:
Taking direct responsibility and accountability for managing stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that there is continuous improvement in standards of safety, quality, time and cost.
Being the trusted advisor for all matters relating to Thames Water Estates and Facilities within the area.
Championing change and new ways of working across your sites.
Being the primary interface between your customers (building occupants) and the suppliers.
Ensuring that the supplier's deliver to their highest standards in safety and services, fulfilling all contractual obligations and are perceived by the stakeholders as always acting in Thames Waters' best interest.
We are looking for someone who has experience of managing the delivery of hard and soft facilities services across multiple locations in both manned and unmanned sites is essential. With an emphasis on customer service, you will engage with stakeholders at all levels. You will also be able to develop a collaborative relationship with suppliers demonstrating excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. Working towards or in possession of an appropriate technical qualification (BIFM, RICS), you will be aware of building compliance and possess a firm knowledge of support services in the built environment. As part of a small team you will assist the Infrastructure Manager in the management and delivery of minor projects and contribute to the on-going investment plans. This operational role will involve travel to sites across the Thames Valley for approximately half the working week, with the remaining time being spent in the Head Office location in Reading. Therefore a clean driving license is essential.
This role is based in central Reading, Berkshire, but you will be required to work across the Thames Valley. We are offering a salary of between £28,900 and £39,100, depending on skills and experience.
