About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance your role will be accountable for the safe maintenance of the field equipment fleet on site. You will safely and effectively manage a crew of multi-skilled tradesman in order to optimise equipment availability in accordance with the Company's policies and objectives. You will be a dynamic leader with a strong safety focus.

This role is based at Daunia Mine, Central Queensland, and is on 7/7 (days) roster.

  • Coach and lead a crew of multi skilled tradesman within the maintenance department
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure maintenance plans and schedules are met
  • Oversee, direct and coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Ensure 1SAP work management processes are adhered to
  • Compliance with all standard procedures, legislation and regulation
  • Monitor maintenance budgets and involvement in their preparation
  • Comply and drive the sites 5S strategies

About You

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification in either electrical or mechanical. You will be an experienced supervisor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments. The ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a changing environment will be essential for success. Experience with computerised systems - 1SAP, Caterpillar and Cummins are essential. Exposure to Caterpillar rope shovels, 6060 excavators, Ultra class trucks and Hitachi excavators would be highly desirable.
