Job Summary
AECOM are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to be based in our Bahrain office, working closely with the HSE/QA officer and carry out the QA/QC works while also assisting in the HSE works.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain organization's ISO certifications
  • Coordinate and monitor the Quality/Safety/Environment policies, procedures and other documents.
  • Determine causes of unsafe condition through procedure reviews and inspections.
  • Establish and monitoring local objectives related to the IMS
  • Establish and/or Monitor system documentation for the region i.e Project Plan,PQP, HSEP
  • Maintain the regional/offices internal audit schedule
  • Review and oversees procedures for investigating construction accidents.
  • Register, distribute and track resolution of non-conformances
  • Collects and analyzes injury and safety survey statistical data to write technical reports and makes presentations to contractors and regional management regarding contractor performance.
  • Facilitate development and delivery of training material related to IMS processes to create a culture of embracing the IMS through awareness and competence
  • Record and identify trends in non-conformance
  • Assist Client Feedback Survey process
  • Ensure that all deliverables, undergo checking and verification before being released to client/sub-consultant
  • Assist reviews of IMS/PDS procedures and document control and ensure implementation is in compliance with contract requirements on regional sites
  • Work in conjunction with project managers to ensure that all quality/Safety/Environment standards and issues are identified and addressed
  • Facilitate sub-consultant and sub-contractor selection and assessments
  • Review the contract documents for assigned construction package in respect of quality/Safety/Environment requirements and procedures and advise the project manager and contracts team of any deficiencies.
  • Review the quality/Safety/Environment plans as submitted by the contractors and ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Minimum Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Proficient in MS office works
  • Internal Auditor course (ISO 9001)
  • Technical writing skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Accountability for assigned work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering
