Your new company |
My client is a social enterprise and charity. They are one of the largest supported housing organisations in the UK and have an excellent reputation. The organisation has been established for over eighty years and in the last year provided support to over thirty thousand vulnerable people in over five hundred projects. Due to an increase in workload they are looking to recruit a candidate temporary basis.
Your new role
The successful candidate will work as part of a team of supported housing professionals and will report into one of the organisation's team leader. As support worker your role requires for you to give high support to clients. You will also be required to involve your client within services that the organisation offer, maintain properties, help with the collection of rent and signpost to different services when necessary. You will be providing support to ex-offenders around the Gloucestershire area. This role will require you to drive so a driving license and a car is essential to this role. Within your new job you must ensure a high standard of service delivery is achieved by championing the organisation's values, policies and procedures including safeguarding clients at risk of abuse.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need sufficient experience in working within a support or care environment. Experience in assessing and monitoring your clients needs is essential. You will have relevant knowledge within the background of these clients, specialising in working with vulnerable clients and complex needs. You will need the ability to manage a case-load of clients as appropriate. You will need to be flexible with working hours working on a 24 hour rota. A full driving licence is required, and you may be required to undertake lone working.
