Experienced Site Manager required to manage the £800k live occupied refurbishment of an existing healthcare building in Winchester.
Reporting to the visiting Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities, including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.
The project is due to commence on site mid-November though into next year. Future workload includes similar schemes in the Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex areas.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The contractor is a busy regional contractor with a £45+m annual turnover , and a proven track record in the delivery of medium sized new build and refurbishment schemes from £500k to £15m in the healthcare, education, commercial, nursing home, industrial and retail sectors.
Requirements including certificates and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for an established main contractor advantageous.
Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time` approach.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
