Our client requires a semi-skilled electrician for a rewarding new career. This is a permanent position in Dorset. Working on luxury boats. Salaries are based in a 48 hour week, which includes a compulsory overtime booster. Tasks will include 1st and 2nd fixing and installing high value navigation systems. Salary Range: c.£20,758.40 - c.£26,200 per annum (approx with booster)
Semi-Skilled - £9.98 - £20,758.40
Improver - £10.87 - £22,609.60
These salaries are based on a 40 hour week
Every six months the Booster shift is reviewed.
* Booster Shift - The Booster Shift is 8 hours making the working week 48 hours it is compulsory when it is in use which guarantees overtime for 6 months consistently. The Booster shift then makes the Salary c.£33,000 per annum
The 8 hours of the Booster shift are paid by the following
- First 6 hours are paid at 1.5 (Time and a half)
- The further 2 hours are paid at 2.0 (Double time)

Job Title: Electrician (fit out)
Salary Range: c.£20,758.40 - c.£26,200 per annum (approx)
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 18:00, Fridays 07:00 - 13:00 (which includes 8 hours compulsory overtime).
Based in Dorset, is now looking for part or fully qualified Electricians to join the team. You'll work in small teams guided by Electrical Team Leaders to fit out all electrical systems on board Boats which range from 48 to 155 feet.
Typical tasks include;
*Installation of cable management systems (trays and trunking).
*Drilling and cutting penetrations through bulkheads (walls).
*Running pre-prepared cables/looms through the boat.
*Terminating cables, crimping and creating looms.
*Installing and connecting generators/batteries.
*Engine room electrical fit out.
*Mounting and installing a variety of components.
*Installing high value navigation and audio/visual systems.
*Experience with electrical installations in a domestic, industrial or marine setting across first or second fix.
*At least a level 2 vocational qualification in an electrical subject such as, Electrical Technologies, Electrotechnical Services/Systems, Electrical Installations, Marine Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
*Able to read electrical schematics at a basic level.
*Keen to work in a fast paced construction environment.
*Evidence of your awareness of the Electricity At Work Regulations.
*Able to attend and pass a one hour electrical skills test in Poole, Dorset.
