Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - Manchester - Construction/New Build|
I have an available opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor in the Greater Manchester area.
I am seeking a QS with at least 2-3 years' experience post qualification with a main contractor or large sub-contractor delivering new build projects.
The role is with a Regional construction business with a real family run feel throughout the business.
You will be based in the regional office in Greater Manchester, with other offices in Yorkshire and Staffordshire also a possibility.
You will be required to provide Commercial support to their busy projects throughout the UK, covering cost and contractual aspects whilst working to deadlines. As such the required Quantity Surveyor must be well motivated, organised and work well within a medium sized team, with each QS covering around 2 separate projects at a time.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Construction industry and ideally have previous experience on Residential, Commercial, Education, Care Homes or other similar building projects.
As standard you must possess the relevant commercial skills such as assisting in cost reporting, forecasts, sub-contractor management and payments, offer solutions to help ensure profitability and other duties to assist the Commercial Management as required.
2-3 years' experience in Construction as a Graduate or Assistant QS.
Thorough understanding of the construction industry, experience in both New build & Refurbishments is desirable but not essential
Thorough understanding of the Quantity Surveyor role
Degree level or equivalent qualifications
Full UK Driving License
Circa £25k - £30k + dependent on level of experience and suitability, plus benefits package (Incl. Car/Allowance and additional benefits e.g health & pension)
