Facilities Manager

Salary: £40k
Location: Dinnington, Sheffield
Term: Full Time, Permanent

Manage the UK business property portfolio of leased and owned premises Lead and deliver property repair and maintenance strategy. Manage the facilities costs, ensuring budgets are achieved. Lead on the strategy and delivery of support activities including uniform, stationery and plant and equipment.

Responsible for the UK Property portfolio of leased and owned premise:
- Lead on property strategy
- Lead and deliver the programme of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair solutions for the UK property portfolio
- Manage a directly employed maintenance team and co-ordinate external contractors to deliver the optimal programme of planned work and reactive repairs within budget and on time
- Lead and deliver investment projects, as required from time to time ensuring budget and other KPI are met and post investment analysis is robustly completed and reported
- Manage property operating costs including leases, utilities, rates and other related lines of expenditure, owning and delivering the agreed budget
- Lead on other key support activities, including stationery, post and plant and equipment, ensuring that appropriate solutions are in place which meet budget and other key targets supporting the business in delivery of wider objectives
- Support the delivery and implementation of Doeskleen objectives for all the UK sites
- Working with the Group and UK Purchasing Team to develop the relevant supply chain arrangements
- Ensuring that all Facilities staff and processes comply with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 standards, as well as SKUK HSEQ regulations and procedures
- Accountable for managing financial performance of the Facilities cost centres totalling up to £3.0m pa
- Drive a vision of optimal Facilities Management and support, which sets challenging goals and drives teams to achieve and exceed them. Work in support of the group in establishing and maintaining standardised solutions to common activities.

- Engineering or trade related qualification with at least 10 years of experience in the field of Facilities Maintenance
- At least 5 years' experience of Facilities Maintenance in a management role
- At least 5 years direct people management experience
- Must have experience of structured continuous improvement
- Comprehensive understanding of property strategy principles, cost benefit analysis and value engineering
- Experience of business analysis/review, recommendation and implementation
- Able to demonstrate comprehensive understanding and practice of project management techniques
- Proven communication with influencing skills at all levels of business structure
- Experience of working with accredited manufacturing and warehousing environments, with due regard to ISO9001, 14001 and 18002
- A proven leader of effective change
- Proven ability to deliver challenging business improvement targets in the listed areas of responsibility
