Morson International is pleased to offer this fantastic role on behalf of our client, who are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (Java) who will be based in Cheshire/Manchester UK on a Permanent basis.
In order to apply for this role candidates must hold a valid SC or DV Clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo SC clearance (UK Resident for the past 5 years).
The Senior Software Engineer will have the opportunity to develop quality software across a range of projects, operating systems and development environments, as well as providing support, leadership and guidance to the wider team.
Candidates should have the following skills and commercial expertise:
-Strong expertise/understanding of server side Java, supported by SOLID design principles
-Expertise working in a senior role within a team.
-Extensive understanding of configuration management, change control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
-Produce clean code
Technology/Tools used across the wider team:
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
-Designing, coding, testing, configuring and supporting fully integrated software solutions that meet client and company needs/standards
-Working closely with Software Engineers and Architects regarding the review of functional design specifications, high-level system architecture and interface designs
-Contributing to scrum teams, attending project reviews and ensure the company is working to established software engineering processes and methodologies
-Applying your technical expertise to deliver business value
-Offering your opinion on the companies skills, technology and working practices; helping to build a best-in-class software development function in partnership with responsive management
-Managing a varied and challenging workload across multiple databases, tools and methodologies
-Supporting, encouraging and sharing knowledge with team members.
Hours: 37.5 hrs a week
Salary: circa £45,000 per annum plus benefits including Pension Scheme and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
