A local authority are looking for an experienced ICT support technician to Work as a member of the Technical Operations Team, providing a comprehensive range of services to customers of the Division.|
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior ICT Support Technician who enjoys working in a changing and challenging environment. You must have solid experience of Citrix and Microsoft support, including SCCM, security issues, Windows 2008+ ADS, Exchange 2007 and Office 2010 and the ability to mentor less experienced staff.
Candidates must have An ICT related degree or professional qualification (by examination). Or, the ability to demonstrate through extended relevant experience, the necessary specialist knowledge to undertake the full range of duties of the post.
Canidates must have a full UK licence as they are may be some travelling involved.
Based In Central Solihull
To configure and install a variety of Infrastructure hardware and software, primarily
Windows but also Unix, to agreed timescales and standards.
To provide technical advice and support to customers in the event of problems when
accessing the infrastructure.
Ensure that the corporate infrastructure is kept secure at all times
To administer, support and upgrade developments to the infrastructure.
To provide technical advice and support to customers on the purchase and
implementation of infrastructure devices.
To monitor the performance of the infrastructure, and take pro-active measures, to
ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
Ensure that all infrastructure documentation is kept up to date.
To log and manage incidents and change requests according to ITIL standards on the
relevant service desk system
