Our client, based in Newbury, West Berkshire is looking for a competant candidate with excellent computer skills and some experience in server administration, to provide front line technical support to around 70 users across 2 sites.
This opportuntiy provides the opportunity to expand and grow your skills, undertaking training and improving your skill set, whilst working within a forward thinking team.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact in desktop and network based technical support you will be crucial to delivering:
resolving printer issues,
MS Office, email and internet/connectivity issues
responsible for escalating tasks with external providers.
You will monitor and respond to all IT support requests via an internal ticketing system, telephone and email, log all support issues in the ticketing system - ensuring all tickets are 100% up to date at all times.
Additional Roles and Responsibilities include:
providing remote support using tools
administering new starter and staff leaver processes
managing IT support with emphasis on increasing end-user uptime
performing routine health and operational checks
providing administrative support in the management of relevant software and hardware procurement and licenses (including equipment inventory/asset logging and tracking)
ensuring that relevant documentation (process/procedure/policy) is comprehensive and up-to-date
providing first line support of our telephone system.
Relevant computer based qualification or relevant experience with the ability to use initiative when needed.
