Senior Web Developer required for a tech start-up headquartered in Manchester who are already profitable after only a year of business. They have developed an incredibly exciting product which has already proved to be very successful in one of the biggest industries in the UK. The beauty of their product is that it can be applied to near enough any industry / market, the sky is the limit.|
You will be the first permanent member of staff in the door after the two Directors and as a result there is a strong chance as the team grows you will become CTO / Technical Director / Head of IT. In fact, if you are already at that level and are still hands on, please do apply.
One of the Directors has up until now architected the whole solution, written the software and customised anything their clients have asked for. As the company grows, they need someone to come in and help them with this aspect as well as steer the technical direction of the organisation. This means you will have the ability to explore new technologies, methodologies and ways of doing things as you see fit.
The product is doing so well in the current market that to be honest, if they weren't so ambitious they could make a profitable business on the back of it. However, they want to roll this out to anyone who can benefit from it - meaning your job is only going to get more exciting.
The current solution is written in PHP using Laravel, meaning that the successful applicant really does need to have similar experience. Unfortunately due to time constraints and lack of manpower, they don't really have time to train someone from scratch when it comes to Laravel. However, any strong MVC experience, along with a high level PHP expertise, would definitely be of interest.
If this role sounds ideal for you and you want to work for a successful tech start-up who are about to move to brand new offices (I've been, they are very cool), then you should be comfortable with most of the following:
** Laravel / MVC Principles
** MySQL / NoSQL Databases
** LAMP Stack
** Experience working in a small organisation with a very flat structure will probably help
This role is very much urgent and our client can hold interviews today if your skills / experience fit the bill so please don't hesitate in applying.
