The Role - IT Technical Support Engineer, Technical Implementation Specialist (Oracle, Unix and SQL)
Following UK expansion, they seek to recruit a customer focused IT Technical Support Engineer, responsible for a range of critical remote and on site technical support functions on a range of PACS (Picture Archiving Communication Systems) and RIS (Radiology Information Systems) Healthcare IT Systems and associated digital imaging products.
Key responsibilities include:
Gain knowledge and familiarity with customers and their environments within the assigned geography (current operations and workflow, desired operations and workflow, etc.)
Deliver a controlled implementation of assigned HCIS projects, liaising with Project Managers, Customers, Incident Support Specialists, Applications Consultants, 3rd party suppliers and Sales team.
Provide technical assistance to Project Managers, Applications team, Incident Support team, Customers and Sales as required or directed.
Provide enhancements and remote configurations to customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
Collect Voice of Customer (VoC) input.
Improve customer satisfaction by giving:
Timely response to customer contact
Prompt customer follow up and closure of requests.
Correction of Customer/ User mistakes
Remotely assist in 2nd/3rd Level incident support on PACS and RIS solutions within the UK & Ireland.
Where appropriate, implement work around solutions at customer sites.
Maintain the PACS and RIS information database for logging/tracking service at each site.
Provide additional consulting, reporting and maintenance services to customers.
Your Background - IT Technical Support Engineer, Technical Implementation Specialist (Oracle, Unix and SQL)
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate a background in the technical support, project management or development of IT software systems, gained within an SQL, Windows, Unix, Linux or Oracle DBA environments, and be motivated by progressing your career in the technically challenging environment of Healthcare Information Systems. You will also ideally have a working knowledge of server hardware.
Alternatively, you might already be an IT professional with a strong background in healthcare information systems seeking further training, a more interesting and diverse role, and genuine opportunities for career progression. You might be in an 'in house' NHS based Healthcare IT position graving a faster paced private sector environment, or a senior healthcare informatics service engineer seeking the chance to progress into a more challenging technical support position.
