Working for the Electrical Engineering Manager you will undertake the development of new projects; skills required for the role include:
Ladder logic & sequential control
Encapsulation & code re-use through the use of Function Blocks
IEEE Structured text
Examples of some platforms used: Siemens S7 300 & Rockwell Compact Logix
Experience with SCADA systems
Tag creation and usage, Screen creation & modification
Knowledge of Visual Basic Scripting
High computer literacy - essential
Examples of some platforms used: Siemens WinCC HMI V7 & Wonderware/Indusoft
Knowledge & Electrical CAD package, AutoCAD electrical
Working from documentation to produce bespoke control solutions
The ideal candidates will have initiative to work creatively & logically in regard to the project at hand, have excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to produce technical documentation and create user manuals is part of the role as is involvement with commissioning in the UK and occasionally overseas. Knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics & pressure systems is beneficial
