This is a challenging role with lots of variety and genuine opportunities to develop your skills in quality. The role will include performing mechanical measurements, visual inspection, and testing of raw materials. The mechanical inspections will be completed using hand measurement tools and CMM. You will be required to document non-conforming material and work with relevant department heads on solutions. As part of the role you will also be involved with the complaints system - Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met through working with the relevant departments to implement change.
Although this is a hands on role there is also a real opportunity to go further into area's such as continuous improvement and performance monitoring.
The Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate you will have a real passion and enthusiasm for quality. You must be a positive team player with a real attention for detail and a good understanding of engineering to be successful in this role. In relation to background you will be experienced in working in quality assurance, being proactive and really looking to drive a positive quality mentality forward. A good knowledge of engineering drawings is essential as well as an understanding of quality in a machining environment.
