Pay Rate: £24.73 p/h Ltd (fixed & non-negotiable)
Weekly hours: 37
Contract duration: 12 months - start ASAP
Security clearance & Project information: Successful candidate will have to obtain a UK MoD SC Clearance to Secret level or transfer existing SC clearance. UK EYES ONLY project and ITAR restrictions apply. Successful candidate will be able to start on Baseline Security Clearance with SC in progress (takes approx.1-2 weeks)
End client: A global company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defence, security and aerospace systems
An Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join the existing Land (UK) Fuze team to support current Engineering activity including new development projects and maintenance and updates of existing legacy products.
Key responsibility include:
-Support the Engineering activity on product and Manufacturing process for the development of new products and the evolution of legacy products
-Ensure that compliance with safety requirements remains the highest priority in the products and processes that are developed and delivered within the relevant programmes
-Application of appropriate Engineering processes such as Systems Engineering and Design for Manufacture into working practices and plans
-Support product and process development trials through:
*Generation of trials specifications
*Support to the build of trails hardware
*Support to the safety assessments
*Safe conduct of trials
-Support investigation work into product failures and production capability
-Number of year experience working in the Munitions industry
-Knowledge of target sets and weapon defeat mechanisms
-Knowledge of energetic materials
- Honours Bachelors Degree & membership of appropriate institution preferred
-Electrical, Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering with some experience of electro-mechanical systems
-Ability to lead and work in and across multi-disciplinary teams
-Ability to engage with suppliers and senior customer project and technical personnel
